a corpuscle of light on the ocean...
the transparency of my body with the rocks...
sometimes the only way to summarize my feelings is to draw--
to collapse the frenzy in my limbs enough to make a mark

Live painting is a hybrid art form that takes an interpretive approach to painting. I set up at concerts, usually on either side of the stage to add visual element. As the show progresses, I focus on tuning into and connecting with the music as well as the overall spirit of the event in order to channel the interpretation of that energy onto the canvas.
A painting may be completed over the course of several shows, thus reflecting the spirit of a combination of events, or it may be done within a single evening. The idea of the process is extremely important in live painting, because the work grows organically.
Music and Art fusing together.

Happy New Year! It is the first day of a new year and it is going to be HOT this year. Lots of events, shows, classes and gallery events. Keep checking back, thanks to everyone for making last year so wonderful. Also, will be posting some oils for sale near the end of the month.
